昨年暮れに日本市場に復活した、ボトルも中身も強烈なあのワインですが・・・

ジンファンデル好きの方にはまさに垂涎のワイン「ターリー」です。カリフォルニア最上、最強の、パーカー５つ星★★★★★のジンファンデル生産者です。

ターリーのエステート・ジンファンデルです！初の日本正規入荷です！

しかもバック・ヴィンテージです！売り切れ御免です！

This vineyard is special to all of us here at the winery; right in our backyard, it’s what we see every day at work (and from the family home!). In 2006 we planted 6 acres of head-trained dry-farmed Zinfandel that compliments the original planting from ten years prior, all of which are certified organic. The wines are ripe, full-bodied, with wild berry and garrigue flavors.

ターリーのエステートは、セントヘレナとカリストガのちょうど中間あたり、ハイウェイ２９号線の内側（東）に位置します。２００５年カリフォルニア訪問の際、訪問したくてアポを取っていただいたのですが、残念にもアレン・ジョーダン氏の出張と重なってしまい訪問することができませんでした（涙）。

ロバート・パーカー評価のエクストラ・オーディナリーの９６点以上は２０以上、９５点以上に至っては４０以上のターリー。ご紹介の２００５年エステート・ジンファンデルのパーカーポイント（８４－８７）はめずらしく低いようですが、バック・ヴィンテージが出ることはほとんどないのでお宝ものだと思います。ラベル、液面等外見上は全て良好です。

Tasting almost like Pinot Noir, the midium ruby-colored 2005 Zinfandel Turley Estate exhibits a bouquet of sweet cherries as well as a superficial palate. While elegant, it lacks intensity and depth. – Robert Parker, Wine Advocate #168 –

Though the vast majority of our wines are single vineyard designates, Juvenile is actually composed of a variety of young vines that have been replanted in several of our old vines. We tag the vine when we replant it so as not to mix the brand new vine with its much oider neighbors, then pick these young vines separately and make a distinct wine. The vines that make up Juvenile range in age from about 6-25 years, and we pull from 15 of our vineyards across California, including Hayne, Ueberroth, Pesenti, Salvador, and Vineyard 101.
