ポール・ラトーが自らグレート・ヴィンテージと言った２０１２年は、シャルドネのベル・ド・ジュール がＷＡ９５、ル・スーヴェニアがＷＡ９４、ピノ・ノワールのシービスケットがＷＡ９６、スエルテがＷＡ９６。ピゾーニ・ヴィンヤードのイースト・オブ・エデンがＷＡ９３、ランスロットがＷＡ９２でした。

２０１３年は、その２０１２年を上回る高い評価になりました。

There are only six barrels of the extraordinary 2013 Chardonnay East of Eden Pisoni Vineyard and it comes from arguably the greatest vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands, Gary Pisoni’s Pisoni Vineyard. Aged 14 months in 67% new French oak and hitting 14,8% natural alcohol, it has incredible minerality (the soils here are granite) to go with classic stone fruits, flint, white flowers and classy oak on the nose. Full-bodied, beautifully textured, layered and pure, it’s always lively and graceful on the palate, with a crisp finish. It’s another wine that will have over a decade of longevity. One of the more tight and backward efforts in the vintage, the 2013 Pinot Noir Lancelot Pisoni Vineyard has a focused, pure and edgy style in its sweet black cherry, blackberry, spring flowers and distinct wet rock-like minerality. It shows more rose petal and floral notes with air, but also closed down slightly, so give bottles another year or two in the cellar. This is a gorgeous Pinot Noir that’s a solid step up from the 2012. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2015. – Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate #220 -

A thrilling Pinot Noir that comes from a 13,8-acre vineyard planted in 1975 on mostly on limestone at an elevation of 2,200 feet, the 2012 Pinot Noir Jensen Vineyard was harvested September 24 to October 21 and was aged 16 months in 30% new French oak. It offers a dark ruby color to go with a big, sweet nose of cranberry, wild strawberries, crushed flowers, forest floor and spice. Full-bodied, layered and elegant, with a supple, rounded and sexy texture, it packs plenty of fruit, yet is graceful, beautifully balanced and seamless. It’s hard to resist now, yet should cruise for a decade in the cellar. 「神の雫」に登場し話題となったグレッグ・ブリュワーの「ダイアトム」。残念ながら２０１１年ヴィンテージをもって生産終了となったダイアトムはさらなる進化を遂げ、シャトー・イガイ・タカハの「漢字シリーズ」のシャルドネとピノ・ノワールとして生まれ変わりました。

また、２０１３年鼓動ピノ・ノワールは、今年の「日本で飲もう最高のワイン」の赤フルボディ部門で専門家からプラチナを受賞しました。

A big, rich and decadently styled white that checks in at 16% natural alcohol, the 2013 Chardonnay Samurai possesses a medium-gold color to go with slightly reserved notes of butter apple, orange blossom, toasted bresd, buttered cream and spice. Full-bodied and gorgeous on the palate, with lots of glycerin, richness and texture, it stays nicely focused, never seems cumbersome or over the top, and has a heady, blockbuster-style finish. This is certainly not for those craving lightweight aromas or flavors, yet it’s impeccably balanced and the texture is just terrific. It needs food and I suspect will drink nicely for 4-5 years. It took plenty of time to open up, so give it 30-40 minutes in a decanter if drinking anytime soon. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2010. - Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate #220 –

As with the white, the 2013 Pinot Noir Sono is no lighweight, low-alcohol effort and boasts full throttle notes of violets, Bing cherries, framboise, peppery spice, incense and dried flowers. These carry to a full-bodied Pinot Noir that has full, layered, unctuous texture, no hard edges and a seriously long, heady, decadent finish. Despite the 16% alcohol, it’s impeccably balanced, stays light and clean onthe palate, and is a joy to drink. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2020. - Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate #220 –
